Hi! I’m Shannon. I started Instant Veg in January 2020. My main focus at that time was vegan recipes made easy.

These days, I am no longer eating a 100% vegan diet. I stopped because it was difficult for me to keep my weight up. Nowadays I cook all sorts of things, so this blog will start to reflect a diet that includes eggs, fish, meat, and poultry. Recipes that are vegan, vegetarian, etc, will be highlighted as such.

Ever since I started posting my recipes, I was interested in hearing feedback from others. One of the strongest messages I received from my blog audience was that it’s too difficult to get to the actual recipe when there’s all the other stuff you see on food blogs – stories, too many photos, and ads.

Well, I decided to listen. As of December 2023, this site will feature all the recipes you want – without all the ads you don’t. Recipes will be listed at the top of the post, not at the bottom (like the ad companies tell us to do in order to make you scroll through more ads!). I will still include the long-format post when I feel it would be helpful for those, for example on recipes where you need to follow a specific method.
